Aims
  1. Promote your own professional development through the use of a website build
  2. Develop an awareness of CAD and Key software development, considering the benefits and challenges of CAD

​Objectives
Participate in a group peer critique and discuss the following:          
  • Are the websites we are looking at fit for purpose (do they transmit the message intention) 20 mins 
  • Produce and promote awareness using ‘Market place’ technique to deliver a presentation discussing the following: 
  • Small groups to research the application of CAD and Software
  • What are the benefits and challenges of CAD 
  • Compile a short presentation of your findings using power point 
  • Present Findings to the rest of the group via a power point presentation 

All groups are to research and present

After the presentations you will now have an extensive knowledge of the learning outcome.
For self directed study please do the following by the next session:

Produce a power point presentation of CAD CAM considering:
  1. Think about pre industrialisation 
  2. Industrialisation 
  3. Arts and Crafts Movement 
  4. Modern Plastics 
  5. CAD and CAM
  6. Technological advances in CAD and CAM 
  7. Costs, advantages and disadvantages 
  8. Aesthetics of CAD CAM plus the Snob factor

    Do not forget to talk, display and evaluate other designer-makers work through your findings
