Lauren BrownIm free lance artist and concept visualiser based in Manchester . My artwork focuses predominantly around the human body, focusing on body language to depict certain emotions. I am currently in the process of finishing university and hopefully starting my career.
Victoria Lynch REDISCOVERING A PASSION
Victoria is an artist who rediscovered her passion for art after reassessing life's priorities in her forties. She is a realist at heart, with portraiture and the human form being her main area of interest. Happy working in a variety of media, her work is constantly evolving through research and an inquisitive awareness of the world around her. Currently working on a research project based around the use of public spaces. Her observational work includes digital ipad work, drawing, painting and photography. She is interested in the positive effects that good design can have on public spaces and the communities that use them. I'm doing a foundation degree in Contemporary Art Practice as well as illustrate for Standard Issue Magazine. I make art that looks at my origins and my journeys around Manchester. I like to build up a body of varied work connected by a concept, which I can then edit and assemble. I use clay, thread, paper and my Ipad Air.

Nina ClaytonI’m a Contemporary Art student from Cheshire.
After just a year of studying Contemporary Art, I made the transition from being an illustrator to an Installation Artist.I love sculpting things; manipulating and multiplying materials to present forward not as objects, but as a statement. There’s something about occupying and transforming a space that I find a real drive and energy for.In my work I look to challenge and highlight both personal and societal issues I feel strongly about. 
Katherine BarkerArt has always played a massive part in my life as I have been creating wonderful pieces since I was a little lady. Art was with me all the way through school but when I got to college to do art and design it really inspired and influences me, to follow my dreams. At college I really found myself through art and how much it can develop understanding in the big wide world.
After completing my course at Kendal college I then moved to Manchester to be with my boyfriend at the age of 18 and went to study a Foundation course in art, at the Manchester college, during this course I found out I was pregnant with my beautiful baby boy (I didn't know that then). I achieved a distinction grade for this corse then decided to take a year out to care for my son. And thats what brings me here, doing a Foundation degree at The Manchester college, and loving it. I am studying at The Manchester College working towards an HND in Contemporary Art Practice. This is my first year and I am finding the course hard work, stimulating, exciting, daunting at times, fun, very creative and self-developing. It is wonderful to be in a creative environment with a lot of other like-minded people, to have access to the all the fantastic facilities and great teaching staff.
